President: Kendall B. Wilson

After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 1990, Kendall practiced law for 7 years. During this time, she also taught pre-law at Southern Methodist University’s Talented and Gifted summer program and at her alma-mater, the Hockaday School.  She was both a litigator and a mediator.  After having two children, Kendall wanted a more flexible schedule and began teaching, a passion she found when working for Professor John Rassias at Dartmouth.  She taught 8th grade English at the Hockaday School for the next 7 years.  Currently she tutors Spanish and English and helps seniors in high school prepare their college essays. She recently founded an import business called San Miguel Treasures. She imports artisan objects – jewelry, paintings, and gift items – from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and the surrounding area. She has just completed her first book, Smile! It Gives Your Face Something to Do!, a book of advice for teens who are about to go to college.

Kendall enjoys walking with her dog, hiking, snow skiing, scuba diving, and travelling.  She is recently married to Rick Wilson, a career marine, and she has two daughters, Lauren (Emerson College Class of 2015) and Jessica (9th grade). Kendall has been on the Executive Committee for the last 5 years, serving as a member-at-large, and she actively helped with our 25th reunion book. She was also on the reunion committee for our 20th reunion.

Vice-President for Class Projects: Jenny Plath

Jenny began her professional career in London, working for the literary book publisher Faber and Faber Ltd.  After returning to the U.S., Jenny held editorial positions at Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and ELLE Magazine, where she was Assistant Features Editor.

For the past 17 years, since graduating from Harvard Business School, Jenny has worked for MBI, Inc., a direct marketing company located in Norwalk, CT.  Over the years Jenny has held various positions in marketing, product development and advertising for the privately-held collectibles firm.  She currently holds the title of VP and Senior Manager, Creative Services, and runs the company’s two internal creative departments, responsible for the development of the marketing materials and much of the product design for this $400 million company.

She is also currently serving as college placement consultant for The Pierrepont School, a 10-year old private day school for academically gifted students in Westport, CT.

Last summer, Jenny married Ben Boulton, an inner-city high school English teacher, experienced mountaineer and obsessed rock climber.  Jenny is the mother of twin girls — Margaret and Vivienne — who are graduating from elementary school this June.

Jenny enjoys many outdoor activities with her family including trail running, hiking, skiing, and rock climbing.  She also loves gardening, jewelry making, paper crafts and all kinds of word play, and is addicted to the Sunday NY Times crossword puzzle.

This will be Jenny’s first official role for Dartmouth, and she is looking forward to serving the class of 1986 as a Vice President for Special Projects.

Vice-President for Mini-Reunions: Krista Thomas Corr

Krista left Dartmouth in 1986 to work at Outline in Dallas, Texas.  This most-coveted of the corporate recruiting positions lasted a total of one year before the Dallas office was closed down.  Krista then moved to San Francisco, to prepare for law school as a paralegal at Morrison & Foerster.  After bothering to take the LSATs and to apply to   law schools, Krista decided to change her path yet again.  Having rejected law school admission and with no particular career prospects in sight, Krista applied to the FBI on a whim.  She went to Quantico 21 years ago and has never looked back.  Krista has been a Special Agent assigned to the Boston division for her entire career and has worked Public Corruption and Government Fraud cases for over nineteen of those years.  Some highlights of her work include convictions obtained against a Massachusetts Speaker of the House, a State Senator, and a Boston City Councilor.  Krista has also had the opportunity to participate in a number of interesting investigations as a twenty-year member of the Evidence Response Team.  She has traveled to Saudi Arabia twice to investigate bombings, spent over a month pouring over evidence in the Egypt Air plane crash, and worked countless hours processing evidence obtained after the 9/11 attacks.  Krista has taken advantage of the opportunity to teach evidence collection courses to law enforcement personnel overseas, including the Royal Thai Police in Thailand and representatives of the various police forces in Brazil.

Krista is married to Bart Corr, a corporate pilot for Beacon Capital Partners.  They live together in Newton, Massachusetts with their two daughters, Julia (7) and Megan (5).

It is a little-known fact that, in 1996, Krista was named by the College as the Mini-Reunion Chairman of the Year.  Krista continues to enjoy socializing and throwing parties and would be honored to do so with more of a purpose during the next five years!

Co-Secretaries: Davida Sherman Dinerman and Mark Greenstein

Davida Dinerman lives in Ashland, MA with her husband, Brad, and their two children, Abigail (13) and Ari (10). After Dartmouth, she earned her MBA at Babson Graduate School of Business. For the past 15 years, she has worked at Schwartz Communications, a strategic communications agency, and is currently a director.  At Schwartz, she has been well-entrenched in the healthcare IT and technology practice groups, and several of her teams have earned PR industry awards. She regularly writes articles on industry topics and was recently published in the marketing publication, Communiqué. Davida will be taking up the secretary post again after having served a 10-year term from 1996 – 2006. She has also been conducting alumni interviews for Dartmouth since the early ’90s. In her other spare time, Davida volunteers in her synagogue and the kids’ schools. Still an avid tennis player, Davida has competed at the national level.

Mark is the founder and Lead Instructor of Ivy Bound SAT Prep. He is also founder and Curriculum Overseer of Rising Stars Academic Tutoring. Prior to found Ivy Bound and Rising Stars in 2000, Mark taught for Kaplan, TestMasters, privately, and for the West Hartford (CT) public schools.

Ivy Bound holds SAT Prep classes throughout the Northeast.  Ivy Bound instructors are primarily college and grad students who have all scored among the top 2% on the SAT and have a zeal for teaching.  Ivy Bound is often invited to hold classes in schools that have been underserved by some of the larger test prep organizations.

Mark has taught test prep since 1987 and has been a speaker on college admissions, vouchers, choice in schools, and education reform.  He is the publisher of the Rising Stars’ Heart of Darkness, an annotated version of Conrad’s novel, designed for SAT Prep. He has taught LSAT prep to over 1000 students, and SAT prep to over 800.  Ivy Bound’s SAT and ACT Prep courses have helped over 4000 students raise their scores, enhancing their college admissions and scholarships.   He is especially passionate about discussing testing and admissions issues, like:

Along with his Dartmouth degree, he earned a law degree the University of California at Berkeley.

Can you join other ’86s who’ll be skiing at Waterville Valley on Friday, February 25 or Sunday, March 6?

Several ’86s already are planning to get together, and it would be great for any additional number of classmates to join us.

To say “yes, I’m interested,” please add your name to our Doodle and then invite others to join us, too.

If there’s a “group,” we can do group-rate tickets.
